Step 1: Inquiring!
Once we’ve gotten that first point of contact finished, I’ll figure out a time when we can chat on the phone! I want to learn more about you and your love, in your words! I love getting to know you and learning about what is important to you for your big day.
Consider this our “first date”… we’re both learning about each other and seeing if we’re a match! I do not take on every single couple that inquires with me, I only take the couples that I feel a true connection with. Your wedding day is an integral piece to the story of your forever, and I don’t want you to spend it with a “stranger”. I want you to be stress-free, knowing that I’m there to laugh and cry with you, all while capturing every moment with love, passion and show all of the beautiful, unique memories that are just yours.
Step 2: Learning more about each other!
Okay, okay… things are getting serious, let’s go steady! Once we’ve decided that we’re a great match, we’ll start working together on all your details- big and small! Starting with when to shoot your engagement session! Engagement sessions are a time to celebrate this unique period of being engaged(!!), prep your partner for alllllll the picture taking, and most importantly a fun few hours for us to get to know one another and get comfortable around each other! We’ll laugh, joke, adventure and of course… create some beautiful images for you two to cherish.

Step 3: Engagement Session
I’ve got your back when it comes to helping plan your timeline, when to send your save the dates, a ton of recommendations of other rad vendors to work with (yes, all over the world!) and maybe even some of the more obscure questions you might have like how to word your invites for not having kids invited, explaining that your second cousin doesn’t get a plus one and so on!
We’ll spend a bit of time on the phone or hopefully in person, but I’m always reachable by email! As we get closer to the big day, we’ll have a FaceTime or Skype call to go over final details and any questions for your amazing day!
Step 4: Planning ALL THE THINGS
OMG, it’s (finally) here! The day of your wedding will be so much fun!
Moments will pass quickly, but I’ll be there catching stolen kisses, hearty laughs and all the beautiful minutes that make up your wedding day. Rest assured that I’ll be ninja-ing as many moments as I can, being the great “herder of people” that I am for family photos and getting absolutely misty eyed as you two say “I do”! I count myself incredibly honored to share not only the fun-filled crazy moments, but the quiet, overwhelming moments that come from a day that is the start of forever for you two.
Step 5: Wedding Day!
One of my favorite parts - the day you finally get to see your images! They are meant to be shared and loved, which is why every single collection includes both digital files and a beautiful heirloom album. No matter if we are near or far, we’ll sit down together (sometimes with the help of video chatting) and go through the images of your day! Your wedding album design will have been created with the intention of telling the love story of your wedding day!
Albums are an incredibly important piece of Someplace Images, as we believe that they are the art created to recognize one of your most important days, a day that deserve to be seen, loved and celebrated for years to come. Expect to spend a few hours with us crafting the design and picking the beautiful, heirloom elements that go into your album! Once your design is finalized it’s off to the printers so that it can be placed lovingly in your hands as soon as possible!

One of the most treasured items in my home is my parent’s wedding album. They were married in 1985, with my mother rocking big, permed hair standing next to my dad in his powder blue tux. She let him pick the bridesmaid dress color- fuscia. Bright. Bold. Fuschia. Their album tells the story of their day - my mom smoking a cigarette to calm her nerves, my cousin (their flower girl) crawling all over the bridal dressing room and my dad standing stone faced at the end of the aisle next to all of his best friends. I’ve heard the stories of their day a hundred times, but nothing makes it as real to me as running my fingers across the pictures of their faces, laughing at my aunties in their overly-pink dresses and seeing how phenomenally in love and happy my parents were. Their wedding day is the beginning of their lives as I know them- over 30 years married and still just as in love as their photographer captured them that day.

I believe that the moment before a kiss is when the whole world ceases to exist
and souls are set alight.
I believe that love is still holding hands and making out in front of your children after
30, 50, 60 years of marriage. (I'm looking at you, Mom and Dad).
I believe that all bodies are beautiful, but more importantly that they are the vessel
for souls, which are the most stunning substance in existence.
I believe in the passage of time, and that imagery is the one thing that can pause
it, even just momentarily.
I believe in the transformative power of travel and that it kills prejudice and preconceived notions while it opens your mind and fills your heart.

great-grandchildren will hold, marvel at and cherish.

epic scavenger hunts that end in proposals.
