These two cuties met in Dr. O’Donnovan’s microbiology class at the University of North Texas, and it’s been love ever since! Jarrod noticed her raging red hair, brilliant intelligence and cute nerdiness. His Suzuki Samurai caught Stephanie’s eye, later falling in love with his taste in music and sense of humor. While out four-wheeling with Off Road Tahoe, the fabulous new off road company taking adventurers to new heights in the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area, the two told me more about how they fell in love while studying at their alma mater and later got engaged…

When did you know that your partner was “The One”?

Jarrod: “It may have started when I found a Warren Haynes album in her car, or maybe it was that first bowl of homemade tortilla soup?”

What is your favorite thing about your partner? Their favorite thing about you?

Stephanie: “His ability to always make me feel safe! His gentleman attributes. I can’t remember the last time I had to take the trash out. He loves my awful dad puns.”

The two got engaged at Sundance Square in Forth Worth, TX on Christmas Eve. Jarrod asked someone to take a picture of them under a huge tree at the Nutcracker Ballet. He got down on one knee and, as Stephanie puts it, “the rest is history!”

Stephanie and Jarrod live together in their home in Grapevine, TX. They have two fur-children: one rescued shepherd mix from Denton, TX, and one Husky wolf-dog from a ranch in Munich, TX.
